Winter Race and Social Sailing  Saturday 11 July 

SOCIAL SAILING: BE ON THE WATER OR AT THE CLUBHOUSE BY 1 PM; RACE STARTS AT 1:30 PM 

The Otago Yacht Club Winter Series for 2026 will run across five Saturday afternoons from 13th June through to September.

The Winter Series is a great way to keep sailing through winter, enjoy some friendly competition on the harbour, and catch up back at the clubhouse afterwards. Whether you’re a regular club sailor or keen to join us for a race or two, all sailing vessels are welcome; we are also making this part of the Social Sailing Clanader Starts at 1.30 but be at the Club by 1pm

OYC WINTER SERIES – WINTER CUP 2026

The OYC Winter Cup is a five-race series held from June through to September. The approximately 8.5 nautical mile course runs in the upper harbour, taking in three marks before returning to the finish line.

The series is open to all sailing vessels, with OYC club handicaps applied to keep racing competitive across the fleet.

Entry is just $5 per person, which includes bar food and snacks at the clubhouse after racing. Whether you're a seasoned racer or just looking to get some winter miles in, the Winter Cup is a great reason to keep sailing through the cooler months.
