Steward Island Trip - February 2026
**Day One
We started our trip down to Bluff on Tuesday. We had four trailer yachts ready to cross to the island the next day. One of the team had a blowout tire, but it was repaired quickly. We stayed at the Bluff Yacht Club on Tuesday night. And a great Pub meal at the Bluff hotel!!
**Day Two
At 6 AM, we launched the boats into the water and began heading out of the Bluff harbor around 7 AM. The weather was great, and the sea was very calm. We were under Sail for half of the journey and ended up in Port William for the night.
**Day Three
The weather was expected to turn in the afternoon, so after picking up two more crew members from the ferry, we headed to Port Adventure. We all arrived in Port Adventure by 3 PM and had a great night.
**Days Four and Five
The weather was a little wet and very windy, so we stayed around Port Adventure. We did some fishing and went for walks.
**Day Six
We had an early start to return to Paterson's Inlet for an afternoon at the pub, followed by a windy night.
**Day Seven
We got the two team members back on the ferry.
**Days Eight and Nine**
We had a great time around Paterson and left early for the crossing from Port William. We started the crossing at 5 AM, and it was a very smooth trip.
