The Otago Yacht Club is one of the leading yacht clubs in Otago with its origin dating back to 1869, making it also one of the oldest yacht clubs in the region.
During the season we run regular racing including ocean, coastal and harbour events which cater for keelboats, trailer yachts and centreboard dinghies. Refer to our Sailing Programme page for current season events.
We operate a busy slipway and maintenance yard catering for boats up to 12 tonnes.
The clubrooms cater for a variety of private functions and for local organisations to hold meetings and events. Please contact us if you wish to make a booking for your function.
On Sunday mornings throughout the season we run a Sailing School program which caters for those aged 10 up to adult level.
Visiting sailors are made welcome and often participate in club activities both on and off the water.
Our trailer park caters for up to 40 boats with the pile moorings hosting another 25 boats.
New members are always welcome. Membership applications are available on the "About Us" page above.
